Who We Are

Andre Patry began his career with the Business Risk Management branch of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Agricorp, the Ontario Crown Corporation delivering crop insurance and other agricultural business risk management tools.

After leaving government, Andre joined a multi disciplinary group in establishing a reciprocal insurance exchange for a national producer association and ARM is currently managing the exchange on behalf of producer members. Andre has a B.Sc. (Ag) from the University of Guelph and holds a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation from the Global Risk Management Institute.

Karla Rahn is rooted in agriculture and understands the complexities in family owned farm businesses. Karla’s unique approach focuses on building relationships to collaboratively resolve family issues inhibiting business growth.

Karla’s own initiation to family businesses includes growing up on the family farm experiencing her family’s hurdles. Early in her professional career, Karla dealt with farmers in financial distress and with cattle producers during 2003 BSE crisis. More recently, she spent the last 15 years assisting farm families with managing credit obligations and re-structuring loans. During 2020-2021, Karla honed her existing skills by completing the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) program which by design focuses on navigating the complexities of inter-family relationships.

Karla’s willingness and patience leads to collaborative solutions, and her credit experience leads to sound business decisions.
